We are a group of individual clinicians that come together to provide a variety of services to the Kansas City Metro.
I am the owner and founder of Kansas City Marriage and Family Clinic. My training and therapeutic experience include a wide variety of counseling issues such as: marital dissatisfaction, parenting issues, addictions, depression, anxiety, childhood abuse, sexual abuse, marital abuse, grief and loss, self esteem, and post traumatic stress syndrome.
I am committed to helping you experience positive change, improve relationships, the possibilities for you life, have a greater appreciation for life, a greater sense of personal strength and spiritual development. I specialize in helping people and I am committed to the healing of suffering from the effects of trauma. Reprocessing disturbing thoughts and memories which continue to affect your current life. Allowing your loss to produce valuable gains for you.
I am the business partner of Janet Byars and owner of my own private practice. I enjoy working with people of all ages and have experience helping those who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and self-harm. I have given workshops to therapists, church leaders, and hospital staff. I am currently enjoying working with moms that struggle with depression and other adults experiencing the pains of living in today’s world.
I’m a therapist with a serious passion for working with women’s issues, grief (including loss of child or pet), and couples (including premarital). Additional areas of experience include self-worth, pregnancy and post-partum, trauma, and emotional coping skills for stress. My therapeutic style is reflective of who I hope to be-authentic, compassionate, and humble. I strive to uphold a safe, accepting, inviting, and confidential place for you. My hope is that at the completion of our time together, you not only reach your goal for coming to therapy, but also find more joy, connection, growth, and purpose in your life.
