Janet Byars, MS, LCMFT

I am the owner and founder of Kansas City Marriage and Family Clinic. My training and therapeutic experience include a wide variety of counseling issues such as: marital dissatisfaction, parenting issues, addictions, depression, anxiety, childhood abuse, sexual abuse, marital abuse, grief and loss, self esteem, and post traumatic stress syndrome.

I am committed to helping you experience positive change, improve relationships, the possibilities for you life, have a greater appreciation for life, a greater sense of personal strength and spiritual development. I specialize in helping people and I am committed to the healing of suffering from the effects of trauma. Reprocessing disturbing thoughts and memories which continue to affect your current life. I am the business partner of Janet Byars and owner of my own private practice. I enjoy working with people of all ages and have experience helping those who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and self-harm. I have given workshops to therapists, church leaders, and hospital staff. I am currently enjoying working with moms that struggle with depression and other adults experiencing the pains of living in today's world.

Afton Strate, MS, LCMFT
